  17. I tell my kids that they need a Big clean up in their rooms beofre Christmas and birthdays, that they won't get anymore toys unless they give some away to kids who aren't as lucky as we are. This has become tradition in our house now. It's a great time to go through the cupboards and toy box's and get rid of stuff and tidy and organise as well. Also it isn't as daunting as we do a huge clean up twice a year! I'm hoping it's teaching the kids some good organisational skills as well!

It fits alot in with them being rolled and they look so nice and neat in my cupboard. There nothing I like more than a quick sheet change!!

  34. Don't be afraid to delegate. There are so many jobs to do around the house that everyone can help – whatever age. Whatever you children are capable of – give them some responsibility. They will see how they are helping, then they start to become more house proud, and look after things better. This then saves you so much time as not only are jobs being done, but you aren't wasting time cleaning up after others.

  39. Being a teacher, I need to be an organise queen! My labeller and laminator are my much needed items. Have important items at eye level that you need for the day. My major tip for home organisation is to have a summer and winter wardrobe. On the 1st of Dec (Summer) go through all your winter clothing and donate to charity the items you didn't even wear once.

  41. Chaos can provide a sense of comfort, safety and distraction,
Identify the hidden stakes you may have in clutter AND take action!
A garbage bag and a positive attitude is all you need,
Ask the question “Have I used this in the last 12 months?” and you will succeed?
If your answer is “No” then in the garbage bag it does go,
Feel good about the experience; donate to those less fortunate DON’T just throw!
An organisational tip I execute the first day of Spring!
Then at the end of the “de-cluttering” my favourite charity I do ring!
Instantly you with breath with ease,
AND feeling organised will without doubt will “PLEASE”!!!!
A “wise” tip that has been passed down 3 generations!
Eliminating unnecessary stress before the festive celebrations!

  47. The best advice I ever got was to look at what you are actually using to organise your things... sometimes all it takes is a couple of nifty new products such as dividers, containers etc to completely rethink an entire space! Love shopping at HSW for this reason :) Thanks for the chance & Merry Christmas!
